Slump Hump Mold - Round, Size 3
Size: See Dimension chart below

Combination Large Slump and Hump Plaster Mold. Slump mold shown. Slump dimensions 2 inch Height x 8.5 inch Diameter
Shipping Weight: 5.4 pounds
Two part plaster mold for making pottery using low fire or high fire clay. Use the inside for slump molding clay, and the outside for drape molding clay to make bowls and other decorative ceramics.
The mold weights less compared to solid molds, which facilitates handling when hand-building on it, and demolding. It also costs less to ship. Plus, for the cost of about one hump mold of the same size, you're getting a second built-in mold with which to slump pottery. Easily create stacking bowls, applying many techniques to yield similar - or completely different - effects for the slumped and humped pieces.

About the Slump Mold
The inside slump mold has a rougher surface than the smoother, outer hump mold, and may also have minor imperfections such as small air bubbles. We have not had issues with these transferring onto the clay. However, every mold is handmade and differs. Should transfer occur, it would be slightly raised on the piece's outside, and can be smoothed away with a metal/hard rib after demolding.
The inner slump mold may be a bit off center within the outer hump mold, which you can see in the upright photo of the mold, where the rim thickness varies around the perimeter. This will not impact slumped piece. However, if you want to use the rim as a support to make a flange on a slumped bowl, make sure to make it the width of the narrowest portion.
